In early March, our team had the privilege of attending the Atlanta Habitat International Convention, joining hundreds of other Habitat affiliates from around the world to learn, collaborate, and be inspired. Through engaging workshops, thought-provoking discussions, and informative presentations, we gained valuable knowledge and perspectives that informed our work in the months and years to come.
Last week, the South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity team rolled up their sleeves for a day of hands-on work at our Tumwater build site. It was a day filled with camaraderie, hard work, and meaningful progress towards our mission of providing affordable housing to our community.

As we celebrate Black History Month, it is crucial to explore the roots of advocacy that have shaped the landscape of community development and affordable housing.
On December 6th, we had the privilege of coming together for a memorable evening - our Volunteer Appreciation Night. Now, as we reflect on the event, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible moments shared and the bonds strengthened.
Tumwater, WA: The Cowlitz Indian Tribe is partnering with South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity to build 28 3- and 4- bedroom townhomes in Tumwater. As the Neighborhood Sponsor for this project, the Cowlitz Tribe made a $100,000 donation to the project. The community will be named Tâlícn, which means to help in the Lower Cowlitz Coast Salish language. These homes will be sold at an affordable price to first-time homebuyers, infrastructure work is set to begin in the spring of this year with homes beginning to be built later this fall.
