Every volunteer helps build a better future.
Volunteers are the heart of the Habitat Store, playing a vital role in Habitat’s local homebuilding mission.
Volunteering at the Habitat Store is rewarding in so many ways — connect with people, meet new friends, and make a difference in our community. When you give your time to Habitat for Humanity, you give local families the opportunity to build a better foundation through affordable homeownership.
Why volunteer at the Habitat Store?
You can volunteer by yourself, with friends or a group
Come by yourself and leave with new friends and a sense of accomplishment. The Habitat Stores are also a favorite for corporate team building, civic, military, social, and faith groups.
Volunteers for the Habitat Stores must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers ages 14-15 must be accompanied by an adult and have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 years old must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian but may volunteer on their own.
You don’t have to lift a hammer to help.
Put your talents to work at the Habitat store. Whether you enjoy interacting with the public or prefer working behind-the-scenes, we have a volunteer opportunity for you.

Don’t dump it, donate it!
Your donations build houses.
Habitat Stores are home improvement retail and donation centers with a simple premise: by selling new and gently used donated items, we can fund the construction and preservation of homes throughout Thurston County.

South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity is an equal opportunity housing provider. We are pledged to the letter and spirit of the law and provide a program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin.
