Komachin Middle School Joins SPS Habitat for a Day of Caring
A Brush of Kindness:
A few weeks before winter officially ended on a somewhat sunny but mostly chilly Friday morning 25 students from Komachin Middle School walked across College Avenue to our new build-site, Deyoe Vista, to participate in the annual Day of Caring.
Their goal? To put 55 gallons of stain on our new fence. Now, you might ask yourself, “how much does 55 gallons of stain cover?” And, that’s a good question. The answer is about 960 lineal feet on a six foot fence, so 5760 square feet, all painted in about three-and-a-half hours, before we got rained out.
A big Thank You to Janet Huessy and your students for thinking of South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity when you thought to help your community.
