Altrusa Builds BIG, for the Kids

A very warm, sincere and BIG Thank You to our friends and colleagues at Altrusa for donating the $10,000 necessary to purchase this amazing playground for the children living in our new neighborhood, Deyoe Vista.

We all know that the heart of every neighborhood is that “spot” where the kids always go, we’d like to thank Altrusa for recognizing that, as important as a home is (very), a safe spot for our children away from home is all a parent can hope for.

To be located in the heart of our new development this playground focuses on children interacting in a safe, open and observable location while giving parents a convenient and high-quality recreation activity option in their own neighborhood. A win-win for the active child of a working parent.

Is that all Atrusa does for Habitat: Donate high-quality playground equipment so that kids grow up interactive, outdoors and healthy?

Nope, you can also find Altrusa on-site when we’re building. As one of our longest serving lunch providers, Altrusa puts the fuel in the engine of the only builder of affordable owner-occupied homes in Thurston County. And, as volunteers deserve the best we thank Altrusa for putting the “home” into all the home-cooked meals they bring come rain or come shine.
