South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity

South Puget Sound HFH is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization.

Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.

Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Click here for a map of where we are building.

Dedication Time! We are proud to announce the dedication of the second phase of the Fairview Cottages Community, located at 1800 Fairview St NE, in Northeast Olympia. The dedication celebration will be on July 12th, 2008 at 10:00AM and is open to all. The Bartlett, Neal, Pope and Willis families will be onsite to accept the keys to their new homes. The Willis’s home has been sponsored by a generous donation from Olympia Federal Saving in the amount of $50,000. Tours of the homes will be given after the dedication. Speaker for this event include Juli Wilkerson, Director of Community Trade and Economic Development (CTED) for Washington State, Kevin Ferguson SPS Habitat volunteer, representative from Olympia Federal Savings and others. The families who are receiving the homes will also speak.		A huge Thanks to State Farm! Not only did they come out and lay 6,000 sq ft of sod but they also generously donated $8,600 to Habitat for Humanity. This will buy all the sheds and cupboards for the next houses.
