House Sponsors:

House Sponsor – Full house sponsors are essential Habitat Partners, enabling Habitat to continue to meet the needs of low-income families in Thurston County. Corporations and businesses that commit to a full house sponsorship show civic leadership in their commitment to end poverty housing and empower families in their community. A house sponsor commits to donate $50,000 to SPS Habitat to cover the cost of construction for one home. This donation entitles the donor to the exclusive sponsorship of a Habitat home. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has invested over $200 million in Habitat homes, mostly in the US but also in countries around the world.   Via their alliance, known as Thrivent Builds, they have brought together the financial, volunteer and advocacy resources of Thrivent Financial and the resources and capacities of hundreds of Habitat for Humanity’s local affiliates to build more than 1,000 homes since 2005.

Locally, our affiliate was fortunate to have the Olympia Thrivent office of John Aakre as an original supporter of the Fairview Cottages project.  In addition, seven local Lutheran churches were not only financial supporters but very involved in the building of the Wynder home.  Thrivent Financial is involved in philanthropy with many other programs nationwide in addition to Habitat for Humanity – and to them, we tip our hats in gratitude!

Olympia Federal Savings

Olympia Federal Savings has indeed been a long time supporter of SPS Habitat and we were thrilled when we found out we were the recipients of a very generous house sponsorship in 2006!  The Oly Fed House is one of the Fairview Site Phase II homes and houses the Bartlett Family.

Combined Fund Drive: Department of Social and Health Services

Health and Recovery Services Administration (HRSA) sponsored one of the homes in Fairview Phase III, they not only sponsored a home but also came out to site and built. THANKS HRSA!

Supporters:

Whirlpool has been a partner with Habitat since 1999, donating more than 73,000 appliances to families in need throughout the United States!  Their commitment to Habitat International has exceeded $34 million.  From a practical standpoint, this means that every single Habitat home built in the US receives a new refrigerator and stove for their kitchen – which, for our families in Thurston County is truly a blessing.

For each of them, they have made a commitment to help our volunteers and our families build simple, decent affordable homes that will nurture the families who live in them and make the communities where the homes are built stronger for their presence in the neighborhood.
