Habitat for Humanity Indonesia has launched an appeal to help people hit by severe flooding in the capital city Jakarta and outlying areas. According to Indonesian authorities, more than 100,000 people have been affected when rivers overflowed due to torrential rain. Latest reports showed that more than 15,000 people have been forced to leave their homes. A Habitat team has assessed the damage and started distributing house repair and clean-up kits to affected families. Read more. Please help by making your donation at give2habitat.org.

Store News: New Staff & Yelm Opening!

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012

As many of you know, we are opening a new Habitat for Humanity Store in Yelm. This has been a very exciting transition for us. The Yelm Store will be opening on October 10, 2012 with a Grand Opening Celebration on October 12th & 13th! Come on by for a free hot dog and chips while checking out the new store.

The Yelm Store Manager is long time Olympia Store employee Robert Chamberlain. Robert came to us nearly six years ago and was a very important reason for the success of our Olympia location. Under his leadership we will continue to see great things out of him in our Yelm Store!

We would also like to welcome Sean Kelly to the team as Store Manager of our Olympia location. Sean comes to South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity with an amazing background in retail management as well as vast knowledge in the hardware industry. We are delighted to add him to our team. Welcome Sean!

Hope to see everyone at our two Habitat Store locations!

ReStore is now Habitat for Humanity Store

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

To coincide with Habitat Washington’s mission to ensure all ReStores in the state of Washington share a common name, we will be changing our name to South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity Store effective immediately. You will see these changes happen on our online presence nearly immediately with the signage throughout the store changing with the next 6-8 weeks. We are the same store surviving the same mission with the same great prices!

The Store is also going through a lot of physical changes! During the next two months we will be increasing the ease of which you, the customer, will be able to purchase and find items. We are also working on streamlining the donation process to make it much easier for you to make your donation to the store. Join us on Tuesday, November 1st, from 11-2 PM for a free barbecue lunch to celebrate the rebranding and changes to the store!
