The Evergreen Sustainable Home
In November 2002, Habitat received funding from The Russell Family Foundation for The Evergreen Sustainable Home – an exciting and innovative project that will demonstrate the use of alternative, sustainable building practices in the construction of a partner family home. Habitat is working with students and consultants from The Evergreen State College who are designing the project. Construction of the home on Brawne Street in NW Olympia started in January 2004.
